 Memorial
Medical Center—San Augustine is a fully
accredited 18 bed medical facility that offers
emergency medical care 24 hours a day/7 days a
week. The hospital not only specializes in
emergency care, but it also is home to
comprehensive diagnostic testing, kidney and
dialysis treatments, and inpatient hospital
care.
The highly skilled physicians, nurses and staff
provide emergency medical care and the most
modern and comprehensive diagnostic program
complete with MRTI, CT, and digital mammography.
 The
hospital also offers Telemedicine. This program
allows Lufkin radiologists to interpret tests
that have been sent electronically from the San
Augustine facility to Memorial Medical
Center—Lufkin. This means San Augustine
residents can stay close to home for their
diagnostic procedures.
Even more services are planned for this
facility. Coming soon, Memorial will offer
Kidney and Dialysis Treatment in its newly
constructed center, which is located within
Memorial Medical Center—San Augustine.

Opens New Dialysis Center
For many San Augustine area dialysis patients
the wait is over. After months of planning and
waiting, Memorial Medical Center’s – San
Augustine Dialysis Center is now open. According
to Memorial Medical Center—San Augustine
Administrator, Darlene Williams, it has been a
lengthy process to get the center open. “We have
been working diligently to open the center since
last summer. Numerous onsite surveys and
inspections had to be scheduled by the state
before a license would be awarded.” Memorial
Medical Center—San Augustine received word this
week that the Dialysis Center had successfully
passed all facets of the certification process
and could now accept patients.

opens in San Augustine
Memorial
Health System of East Texas is bringing a fast and
affordable lab testing facility to San Augustine.
Memorial Express Lab of East Texas opened October 15
at 600 East Hospital Street behind Memorial Medical
Center—San Augustine.
“People today are learning to take control of their
health. Today we have an abundance of health care
information at our fingertips and we’re using that
information to stay healthy,” said Lesa Lanier,
Director of Laboratory Services at Memorial Health
System of East Texas. “Express Lab is here to assist
people who want to take charge of their own health.
We offer easily accessible, affordably priced lab
tests that do not require a physician's order. We
are excited to bring this service to a community we
feel will take full advantage of our extensive menu
of testing."
Memorial Express
Lab provides a convenient and efficient alternative
for patients seeking speedy and reasonably priced
laboratory services, with or without a physician’s
orders. All laboratory work is processed by
laboratory professionals at Memorial Health System
of East Texas. Patients who utilize the services of
Memorial Express Lab will experience a twenty-four
hour turn around time on most lab work, which is
returned to the patient in an easy to read format.
