Do You Have a
Sleeping Disorder?
Did you know that researchers estimate as many as 25
million people suffer from some type of sleeping
disorder, including sleep apnea? Did you know that
less than one million of these people realize that
they have a sleeping disorder? Getting the
appropriate amount of sleep each night is important
for good health. As humans, sleep is essential to
our emotional and physical health. When we are
deprived from quality and consistent sleep, we may
not be able function properly during our waking
hours.
Take a moment
and answer the following questions. If you can
answer “yes” to these questions, you could have a
sleeping disorder. If your answer is “yes” to three
or more you could be at risk of obstructive sleep
apnea. This is a life-threatening illness that
causes you to stop breathing while you are
sleeping.
