Memorial Specialty Hospital is located on the fifth floor of Memorial Medical Center—Lufkin. It is a separately licensed long-term acute care facility that is dedicated to the care of the critically ill patient who requires an average length of stay of 25 days or longer. Memorial Specialty Hospital provides 24 hour nursing care and respiratory care. In addition, the hospital offers in house services including pharmacy, laboratory, and diagnostic radiology. Professionally licensed contracted specialists provide speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy services.
