we're dedicated to keeping women strong for
generations to come. From the Henderson Women's
Center to our state-of-the-art imaging suites, we
lead the way with the newest technology and highly
skilled physicians who know that there’s nothing
more precious than our mothers and daughters.
Nursing Team
Our women’s services team has an average of 12 years of experience in obstetrical and
women’s care. We also have nurses who speak Spanish.
Additionally, all of our nurses are certified in
advanced fetal monitoring from the Association of
Women’s Health Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses, and
neonatal resuscitation.

most advanced technology and provide the utmost

4D
Ultrasound
The recently acquired 4D Ultrasound produces 4D
images of the baby inside the mother’s womb, and
it also provides multi-dimensional pictures of
internal organs.

Digital
Mammography
Digital Mammography enables physicians to see
suspicious breast lesions in great detail and
store data on computerized files instead of
traditional films, which result in image
magnification, fewer call backs and fewer film
deliveries. Patients benefit from reduced
radiation dose exposure. And, the new paddle
design reduces discomfort. Digital screening,
diagnosis and stereotactic biopsy are available
in our area only at Memorial Health System of
East Texas.

Pediatric
Echocardiograms
With the only technology and certified staff
between Houston and Tyler, our sonographers can
detect cardiac abnormalities, including murmurs,
in children from birth to adolescents. The scan
is reviewed by
Pediatric Heart
Specialists in Dallas and results are
returned to the primary care provider in less
than 24 hours.

Babies and Moms
Hugs and Kisses provides an electronic ankle
bracelet for pediatric patients up to age 12,
and a matching wrist bracelet for their mothers.
The bracelet works through sensors at all exits;
assuring that the baby cannot leave the area
undetected. The mother’s electronic bracelet
assures she’s matched with her baby. The center
also features secured doors, security cameras
and instant staff alerts.

We chose to deliver our new baby at Memorial
Medical Center--Lufkin. During the birth of
our second child, everyone was so
personable, including nurses Auburn,
Demetric and Tasha who treated us like
family. During the C-section procedure the
labor and delivery nurses explained every
step--putting us at ease. At one time my
husband was asleep on the "father's bed" and
Mary Thomas, a patient care technician came
in and covered him with a blanket. That was
so sweet! Tanya also was great at providing
our other daughter crayons and a coloring
book while she was at the hospital. Dr.
Cheryl Suiter, our OB/GYN physician, was
great!.
